Kyeongyoon Woo

 

Rev. Kyeongyoon Woo is a PhD candidate in the Department of History and Archaeology (Ancient History) at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. His current research focuses on an active interplay between Neoplatonism and the Byzantine Fathers of the Church, particularly Maximus the Confessor (c. 580-662).

He is an ordained minister of the Presbyterian Church of Korea and served as a chaplain in the Republic of Korea Air Force before pursuing his HDR (Higher Degree by Research) studies in Australia.

As the official representative of the organisation in the Republic of Korea, he seeks to establish active relationships with Korean academic societies related to Hellenistic studies.
